Re-enactment group and historical portrayal

The members of our re-enactment group, La compagnie des grenadiers du régiment Royal Écossais, form a Germany-based independent re-enactment group with re-enactors from Germany and Ireland.
:
Since we cherish the Gaelic culture of the Scottish Highlands & Islands of the 18th century and wish to convey history, our goal—within the scope of our capabilities and based on extensive research and supporting evidence—is to present a portrayal that is as authentic as possible.
Our focus is on the unique culture of the Scottish Gaels, whose life, after the Battle of Culloden, was subject to a dramatic change imposed by the Royal House of Hanover. The culture of the Scottish Highland clans, as it was lived in the 18th century, is unique and fascinating. As part of our historical portrayal, we bring the Highland way of life of that era into the present day.

:

With great pride and respect, we portray the grenadier company of the Regiment Royal Ecossais, in old French (français classique) La compagnie des grenadiers du régiment Royal Écossois, striving to show the way of life of these brave Highland warriors who first served in Scotland during the Jacobite era, also known as the Fortyfive, and later on the European mainland during the Seven Years' War.

In our historical portrayal, we re-enact the grenadier company of the Regiment Royal Ecossais, also known in "français classique" as La compagnie des grenadiers du régiment Royal Écossois. The time frame covers the years from 17441762.
